Well, I played around with some compound crossbows and they were fun.but have now gone back to just Excalibur.
I just prefer the recurve look, feel and shooting experience.
And in a goal to simplify I now own only two of them( had seven at one time).
Matrix 330 and Mag 340 both I can cock without a crank. Both with Nikon scopes but I am shooting two different arrow lengths but they all weigh close to 425 grains.

I sold my compound models around 8 or 9 years ago.
Like you I only own two Excals now, Matrix 310 & a Ibex.
Both low draw weight models and can be cocked by hand if I forget the rope cocker.
