Heading South

Post by elkaholic »

Time to hit the road and get back to Arizona. It's been a great summer up here in EagleRiver Wisc.

Lots of fishing, taking boat out for last chance bass today.
Lots of hunting, tagged a back , still a few trips into the woods, hoping for 1 more for freezer.
.
Not sure this RV life is for me ! When things are good and no problems , great times.
But when little things turn to big thing and go wrong , screw up schedules and trips to dealers or service guys etc. Not really my fortay! Not easy as they say.

I got news for those who say . " YOUR LIVING THE DREAM"

DREAMS CAN ALSO BE NIGHTMARES!!

Have a furnace go out and no way to get at it. Piss poor design.
Trip to dealer and have to completely pull it from the storage compartment to fix a 15 dollar switch. Manufactor didnt build an easy access door on t his and newer models.

Hope to tag a javelina with my exomax and try out these new swat T hybrids. Get the ole exomax out !

I worked at a rv store in high school. From my experience l always thought a trailer was better.
You can always get a common pick up truck fixed no matter where you are but a motorhome can be a total nightmare...seen some of em...no one close ever has parts and they are obsolete in like 5 years it's insane...hundred thousand for a fiberglass modified school bus lol.
A trailer is a better more practical alternative .. and it separates from the "host "lol.

I lived in Chicago till 1967. My Dad had a friend that had a place in Eagle River, he rented cabins out during the summer. I used to spend several weeks every summer up there. Beautiful place and lots of fish.
