Last year was seeing them about 20 miles away when working now we got em here.
Went to a suburban Walmart Walmart yesterday you couldn't literally walk in the parking lot without stepping on em. They definitely like yellow for some reason. They love yellow construction equipment.
What's next ....killer wasps...cant wait

Re: Lantern flys
They were at my property this summer spraying or doing something for them, haven't seen too many around. Different story in the town that's close to the Blue Mt., they are all over the place. I went to the town hardware store and noticed a bunch of them in the new wheelbarrows outside, mentioned it to the owner and he laughed, said those wheelbarrows are very effective traps for them. Seems like on the smooth slippery surface they can't get a grip to launch them self into flight and too slippery to crawl out.
Some of the wheelbarrows were yellow, some were blue!
Yea, what's next, there's an awful lot of invasive species popping up in recent times.
