Had a good week made it out 3 nights was nice n cool .
Actually grunted in this super wide 6 point at dusk lastnite and grunted in 2 small 8s on Thursday night
Usually we get some rut sparks about the 15 th.
Who cares as long as I'm seeing stuff I'm as happy as a clam.

No rut sign in western pennsyltucky last week either. Did have a bobcat 10 feet from me in my ground blind (if I figure out the photo upload I'll post it) also had a mature bald eagle fly 20 yards from my "river stand". Not many deer but what a great few days in the woods.

Years back eagles on the upper tidal Delaware river were rare. Now they are everywhere it's good to see them.
I'm kinda worried that they are munching on the baby Turkeys.

Glimmers of something in the mix on the 9th . Had a few does and fawns go by one of my cameras . Short time later spaced out three different good bucks came through with noses to the ground like bloodhounds .

Cooler weather this weekend and dark moon might be the spark we need.

Even better for me, that will mean dark moon on our gun opener in a month in Indiana. Last year I killed my buck in Oct, so when gun came around with vacation time, I sat there almost disappointed with only doe tags. Then of course, I saw 2 monsters on opening day. But that's hunting.
