Also, you'll need to know your specific WMU for the area you plan to hunt

chris,
basically everything....lol, this is why i am starting my learning way in advance of the hunt.
i have never hunted nor transported any weapon to canada. is a red dot legal(specifically a VXR)? area 10 is all i have found so far for. the resort may have more info on their site than i have found so far. trying to save my eyes a little agony by not staring at this screen and searching for the info

Here you go, start here. Depending on the firearm, you can bring them in and out of the country. Pay close attention to what we class as non-restricted vs restricted. And NO HANDGUNs period.

https://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/en/firearms/importing-and-exporting

Most good Outfitters have all this info available as package information. Right down to the firearms paperwork, the non- residence tags and whatever else needs to be purchased. They usually offer the tags and lisense on location.

No ARs. We have a huge list of now prohibited firearms. Any AR derivatives including 22 AR types, mini 14 etc are prohibited. But you won’t have any trouble with conventional bolt action or lever action. No problem with conventional sighting systems either. Think liberal  but not for very long.
What do you plan on bringing with you?

Assuming it’s the rifle and not the pistol, just do the paperwork and you’ll be fine.
