Shocked at brutal statement

Post by StoneFence »

Week or so ago I ordered a new G340 from a local shop along with air brakes and such. Asked if they would install the accessories onto the bow and call when it was ready for pick up. They called me and said there inventory was off and we’re missing some items but said they were expecting an order that day. Anyways it’s now been a while so I was in the area today and thought I’d stop by to inquire. Order hadn’t shown up yet but got to asking if they had experienced any limb issues as I’d read some mixed reviews.... she flat out looked at me and said “oh ya it’s gonna break for sure!” I was taken aback as I really didn’t expect them to flat out basically guarantee me my new bow I haven’t even picked up was gonna break!!!
Guess I better buy spare limbs so I’m not pooched in the middle of the season....

You don't have to shop there . I bought mine from Danny Miller and it came with all the fancy stuff . the Krypet model comes with all that . have shot it for th3 weeks now with out any problems. lot of folks have them and haven't herd of any either. sounds like they don't want to sell the bow, shop some where else. I would. JMO

Why in the world would any bow shop sell something they knew was going to fail? What was it that Forest Gump said? Stupid is as stupid does.

I'm with you Joe!! I've had my Micro since it came out. Love that bow. Here in Texas it can be 100 plus degrees in shade or it can be in the low teens!! The old joke is, "Don't like the weather in Texas, wait a minute, It will change".
Only thing I ever had an issue was, I had a limb that got a small splinter, less than a quarter inch, could hardly get a post it note under the edge. Contacted Dawn at Excalibur and was sent new limbs ASAP.
I believe someone said "clip the the splinter, sand it, and go hunt". I still have that set of limbs. I would use them in a heart beat to get me thru a season. I did like I was told and you can't see any wear on the "old" limbs.
I carry extra strings, extra everything. Why not carry extra limbs too?

I just talked another friend of mine into buying a new Excalibur. He bought a 360TD. He's waiting on it to arrive. He said what convinced him most, (other than me yapping in his ear all the time  ), was watching the destruction test Excal does on Youtube. He looked at all kinds. And was amazed at how many "high end" Ravins simply blew up after a few 100 shots!!
Said you couldn't pay him enough to buy a Barnett.

Once he gets his hands on the 360TD, he'll be a "Convert" for Life!!
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming "Wow, What a Ride!

Buy a set of blemished limbs for it and it will never fail you. My spare limbs are still in the box they came in years ago.
