.....wow....I think there was definitely a silver lining to your story.....just the fact that you got out of going shopping with the "does" of the family is almost worth what you went through....when my wife asks me if I would like to go shopping with her I say, "I rather get a colonoscopy and an endoscopy using the same probe with no anesthesia" then go shopping with you!

Thanks folks, just sore like a sumbitch!  I do not want to go get checked out, but if this still hurts like this tomorrow I might have to. Planning to hunt Saturday, so I'm taking it easy. :eusa-deadhorse:

Dan....I can tell you from personal experience that a bruised rib hurts as much as a broken one. They told me to take in some deep breaths every ten minutes or so, so your lungs don't fill with fluid. That is a no no. Hang in there! :D

No permanent damage I hope.

The last time I did something like this, I was kind of glad things hurt pretty bad.

That helped redirect my thinking a bit and take some of the edge off my embarassment for letting it happen in the first place.

No matter what, you've got to look for the silver lining.....there has to be one if you look hard enough.
