Hoping for the BEST

Post by xcaliber »

Yesterday we went to vote. In our little town we vote at the Fire Station, and we have been voting there since 1996. Out side of the door they have a large cement bench seat, probably been there forever. As I was leaving I held the door open for a woman coming in and walked out right into that bench which took out my right knee. I stumbled forward, and yes went down on the cement drive. I bumped my head, but not too badly, but I also tucked my right arm in the my side to cushion the fall. Well that was not such a good idea. I jammed my elbow into my rib cage, and think I fractured a rib, or two. I have not gone into Covid Central, and I'm not planning to unless it becomes absolutely necessary. So far no black & blue, and my Wife wrapped me up pretty tightly, so we'll see. They wanted to call an ambulance, but I declined, and I'm glad we are in a warm spell, at least for a few days so I can heal up. Now if I can get my daughters, and wife off my back I would feel better sooner!
I did get out of shopping today with the ladies though!

I feel bad for you Dan! But the timing is convenient as far as the weather goes. Remember when we were young and made of rubber? Ah, the old days when we’d run into a things and each other just for fun!

.....wow....I think there was definitely a silver lining to your story.....just the fact that you got out of going shopping with the "does" of the family is almost worth what you went through....when my wife asks me if I would like to go shopping with her I say, "I rather get a colonoscopy and an endoscopy using the same probe with no anesthesia" then go shopping with you!

Are you speaking from experience? Was that a pre entry test for Mr Italy 2019?

Hope you heal quickly, Dan. If you find a way to get wife and daughters off your back, pass it on please. I’ve never figured it out.😎

Hope you can get out for another shot or two at a deer...

Hope your back hunting soon !

As far as shopping, make sure they have a sporting goods department.

I like buying new toys for fishing and hunting and my bill can easily be higher than wife's.

Do I want to go shopping. You bet!!
