Going to try a decoy on Tuesday afternoon.

Post by Riflemanz »

After hunting this weekend in ridiculous winds I thought I'd try out a doe decoy. I'll be in my 22' ladder stand w safety vest and lifeline. I've been seeing a lot of deer in this woods that I haven't hunted this year. I've seen an 8 pt buck in it twice walkin back to my truck. Anyone have any luck with a doe decoy this year?

The rut is in high gear here, probably up there too. You better dress her pretty!  Luring a buck from a hot doe is as hard as getting money back that you loaned a retaliative!

Good luck Steve, don't for get the stinky!

I hunted this afternoon and saw no deer. I did notice a large tree next to my 22' ladder stand that's blown out on the side and is ready to fall. I won't hunt that stand until it falls. Not worth taking a chance.
