Hello,
My name is Brad Cayton. I'm a new board member and a first time crossbow owner. I started bowhunting with a recurve, moved on to compounds when they came out and then went back to recurves and longbows. I started making glass bows, trilam wood bows and finally ended making osage and hickory stickbows and have taken quite a few hogs, deer and small game with them.
Like most folks my age, my shoulders and arthritis made it hard to enjoy shooting my bows. Even shooting my 40# trilam hurt me after a couple shots. I finally broke down and bought a Excalibur 340 mag. I wish I hadn't waited so long. Looking forward to enjoying archery hunting for a while longer.

Hello Sir, nice to have you here. I have the Mag 340 too and my brother uses the M380. There are tons of nice people on here and great info. We hunt with longbows too and I also use a wheelie bow sometimes. When we are real serious about taking home meat the Excaliburs always get it done.
Re: New Member
Welcome to the forum Brad. The Mag is a great crossbow. We have two of the Axe model (same bow different name) and they have quickly become our favorites. Good luck with the new xbow.
Take care
