Y25. More than fast enough, accurate and low noise, I still have one thats never been shot which is signed by Bill, Kathy and Peter. I can't bring myself to shoot it.
I never shot the one I have But to have it autographed sure would be sweet. I might shoot it some day.

Any thumbhole stock because of really bad wrists. I've had multiple surgeries on both and they both are equally bad. Lol

The Vortex was considered the 4x4 of the crossbow world back in it's day and is a hard bow to beat for the best Stock bow by Excalibur.
I love my Matrix bows but the newer bows starting with the Matrix line shouldn't even be considered in this discussion.

I personally hate thumbhole stocks and have converted most of the Excals I've owned over to use the Vixen 2 Traditional style stock.
Safety can be manipulated silently without moving anything more than your thumb. I don't have to look or feel for it..it's just right there and goes up without any noise while I'm aiming and squeeze the shot.

As far as best Excal ever made, I would say it would be the Exocet(200# Mag tip/ Forward Swept Riser)or Vixen2 depending upon how tall one was. I've had lots of Excals since 2000 and still have a Vixen2 as my backup/target bow.

I can only talk about the newer models which i have owned. These models are a Matrix 310, Micro 355, Short 308 and a Bulldog 330.
Out of factory the Bulldog has the best stock to shoulder for me. I should explain, that i am a target shooter only.
The BD is my favorit at moment!

But i still think about to buy a Vortex

I am another one that does not like the thumb-hole stocks. Personally I am very glad that Excalibur has made so many great bows.

My 200lb. Exocet is nothing short of perfection in my eyes.

Well I am going to say a good custom wood stock on any excal is the bomb. But I am a little biased.
