Thanks for checking out my latest edition of a bow I’ve been tweaking since 2013. What started off as the Franken marriage between a Matrix 380 and a Vixen turned into this beauty. I used to have it setup with an HHA Optimizer and a Henegar stock. I was never a fan of the higher check weld needed with the HHA. I also felt the bow could be a lot lighter, shorter, faster and even prettier so I sent it to Tim Burke in Upper MI for an update. I think he did an amazing job at an outrageously reasonable price.

Here are some specs:
•14” powerstroke
•6.1 lbs with a scope
•31.75” overall length
•412fps with a 365gn arrow, (using a Flemish string but this was before I updated my limbs so I’m guessing it’s faster but have not verified)

Starting from the stirrup and working my way back, here are some of my favourite mods:
•lightened stirrup and wrapped with Wilson racquet handle wrap
•titanium and stainless fasteners just about everywhere
•mil spec type 3 black anodized riser and polished flight deck on the top of the rail
•Boo Force 10 Flemish string
•newer Matrix Limbs in Blackout finish
•5” Bullpup setup with gold anodized trigger
•TriggerTech 2-stage
•Burky Dial-a-Range scope mount
•Leupold VXR 3-9x40 with alumina caps
•custom laminate stock, fashioned after my favourite Scorpyd stock
•Hogue 1911 Grips
•Sims buttpad
•solid aluminum cocking block

Before the latest round of modifications, this bow could consistently hold 1.5” groups at 100y from a bench rest when I did my part. Below is a 100y group I shot at Boofest a few years ago.

I have yet to test, hunt or Chrono the new configuration but I know I’ll enjoy it. The Burky Dial-a-Range will not likely get to 100y in a single turn but I can say that it is repeatable and accurate. If I decide I don’t like it, I have a Pro-Shot ACP and ADF scope rail I can swap in. What I like is how Tim was able to shave a pound and a half off the old configuration and 5” off the overall length. This is a bow I could never sell. For sentimental and now budgetary reasons!

That is a beauty! First bow i have seen that might even make my Kayla bow jealous! Do you hunt with it or target only?

I will definitely hunt with this bow someday but it’s primarily going to get used as a backup and target bow.

That bow is amazing. I especially love the 5" bullpup.

Was the stock cut from laminate?
