I see y'all are all having fun cutting down all the new bows that have hit the market so I thought one more will not hurt. I am giving this one a lot of thought but it will be a while before it is available.

Never gave in to the "military black look " just gives the antis more fuel.
Funny the other day 😄l actually caught a trespasser on our property because his black special opps crossbow stuck out like a sore thumb hanging in the light brown leafless woods with my binoculars. ...deer might not see colors but l sure do.
The whole crossbow market is now going to be the new "rocket bow " theme.
What's really sad is that most wanna be hunters still won't be able to kill a 90 pound doe even with one of these along with his ozone machine and his heated blind and every other thing he has bought that youtube and the magazine said would "guarantee his or her success "
Wait till these things get old and start exploding on people every" machine" gets old

The Twinstrike is as much of a niche (joke) crossbow just like the rest of the new crossbows. They are all equally guilty for ruining the archery season. I see many states changing (banning) most if not all of these new speed bows.

The twinstrike is not for me but not against it. Actually think it's pretty innovative on their part.
At least it's basically simple and resembles a crossbow and holds on to traditional hunting not bragging about 100 yard accuracy like other companies that are trying to ruin the crossbow from "primitive " seasons.

Do you have any specific examples where a state has changed an existing regulation that bans these new bows? Genuinely curious, as I have not seen it. Lots of existing regulations in place though that make some of these illegal in those specific states from the get-go though, but that is nothing new.

Other than the R18 which I think will be the most niche of all the new ones, I'm personally glad for at least some part of all the new ones we've seen come out.

- The X1 for being fast, accurate, smooth, and ultra-compact...all while still being rope-cockable.
- The Siege and Havoc for another manufacturer finally acknowledging that 16" are effective hunting arrows.
- The R500 for someone finally utilizing screw/worm drive for crossbow cocking (I could care less about 500fps).
- The Twinstrike because I think it will have more applications than naysayers are giving it credit for. Recurve didn't have much elsewhere to go, and a 2 shot configuration will never be incorporated into compound crossbows.

Certainly the recurve doesn't have much room for the limits of speed, anything over 400 ft/sec is crazy and truly excess for hunting. My Swat XP came in at 427 ft/sec with a 400 gr arrow. I detuned it to 385 with a 425 gr arrow. The X1 should be pretty close to that. But the bottom line is that Excalibur recurves in general conveniently have speeds that savy, knowledgeable, reasonable and knowing hunters want and need.
