Had to put my best friend down yesterday. At 7 years young Cancer took her down and I had to make the hardest choice in my life. I miss her dearly and life won't be the same without her by my side.
She was the best companion a man could ask for.
RIP Cali!

You have my sympathy...very much so. My best friend, Marley, look like yours. Marley had Cancer of the hip 3 yrs. ago. Had surgery to remove it, and she just celebrated her 11th birthday. I will cry like a baby when I have to do the same. God bless man's best friend.

I feel for you. The only real problem with dogs is that they don't live long enough. Even when they live a normal life span they break your heart every 12 years. Catch your breath and go get a puppy!

You did the right thing for her.
And you know that.
Yes, it is the toughest thing we ever do.
But we owe it to them to offer them their final dignity.
Been there far too many times myself.

I think about him every single day.
And although I know I need another, the time, and the right one haven't come along yet.
I hope in your case it is soon.
Once we bring them into our hearts & families, we develop a rather strong need for their companionship.

Losing a dog is a terrible thing. It tears me up every time. I lost my one man dog last July and I'm still broken. It is our responsibility to make sure they live a life of no pain. I know it wasn't easy but you did good. My condolences Jeff.
Aim for excellence. Make us to choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong and never to be content with a half truth when the whole truth can be won.

I have been torn up inside and she will be forever in my heart!
