The base of the trigger lever is very easy to bend. Look at it closely.

You definitely have the correct trigger lever. If it were me, I’d pull the trigger unit out and remove the lever and have a good look at everything including how the trigger unit sits in the mainframe before the 2 trigger unit screws are installed. Also, check the base/channel of the trigger lever with a straight edge. Like I said earlier, they are easy to distort.

If my memory serves me correctly, when I initially ordered my trigger I had a choice as to which trigger style I wanted, indicating to me that either one would work.
Very curious as to what has changed,or what the answer to this puzzle is going to be.

UPDATE!

TT still has not come up with an answer to my problem! as to what trigger they sent me and why it won't work!

So now they are searching the whereabouts of my trigger I sent back to them, which they will polish and hopefully return soon!

NOT what I expected from TT.

Check tracking to make sure they got it, and when. Call them, email them, etc. I have reached out to them twice over the years with very quick response.

Danny Miller told me to just wipe the rail with wd40, wipe the rail dry, that's all. I have no problems.

This is basically what I do but I am using a military grade synthetic oil.
I clean the rail with it periodically and wipe it dry.
I wax my string if it starts to show any fuzz and wax my serving probably once a year during use.
I have 3 sets of strings and re-serve them myself.
