Hope to see this guy again lounging around our barrel for days on end next month.
Calling on Chris and Jeff.

Look at the head on that rascal!! That's a nice Bear!!

Norm....I sure hope ya get to "anchor" that one!! Good luck!!!
Ya, I was sure thinking about the size of his head when he stole the barrel and I had to go get it from the thick dark swamp! Didn't stop thinking about it actually
So...Norm makes a reference to a "funny lock story"....
Did someone actually "forget" to lock the lock???? :eusa-doh:

And Chris...you're a very brave man!!! Or a man of questionable intelligence!!!! :wtf:

Someone found out the hard way you can't use a Dollar Store lock to chain up your bear barrel to the tree. Just a small oversight the way I see it.
A simple trip to the Hardware Store and wearing a big set of balls looking for your lost barrel and Chris was back in the game.

Ya that pretty much sums it up. I forgot a pad lock. But I had a small combination lock in the door of my truck, that wasn't much bigger than a luggage lock and I figured it was better than nothing. Turns out it wasn't.
Now I use quick links because I have too many keys.

I'll tell you tho, his footprints in the snow, were less than confidence inspiring! They were like baseball gloves. Lol, Norm saw them, and he's got big feet! Gave us something to laugh about.

Obviously I'm missing something. Why not use a chain link connector?

Really?? You think that's going to work?? You must have some strange Ontario bears.

You tell us they figured out how to cheat a cheap combination lock. For gosh sake, how long do you think it will take them to figure out clockwise thread and counterclockwise thread?

Welll, there are Excalibur owners who think counter clockwise on one side is the same as clockwise on the other end so you might be wrong. Remember that Yogi was smarter than your average bear!

Ok fine, I scratched the combination in the side of it so I wouldn't forget.
