String and limb Compatibility

Post by learn2flyfish »

Hi,

I’m looking at picking up a couple of older wide bows. Vixen, Ibex, Vortex, Exomax or others as they come available. Right now I’ve got an Ibex in the crosshairs. Are there string lengths that are the same, just different draw lengths? Also, could a set of Vortex limbs be put on a Vixen or an Exomax? If there is some cross compatibility, where does it end? Thanks.

Flat risers are a bit different.
Some people just like stepping on rakes
