Good sized tote back there, it will be important to have back there.
Seeing the rig with that tote on the back reminds me of a real old pickup. It wouldn't be to hard to add some black lacquer paint, wood spoked wheels and a truck bed with short wooden sideboards.

See the resemblance?

Got 2 sits in with the rig this weekend. ALMOST had a shot at what would have been my biggest buck, by far, on my very first deer hunt using the setup (minus the ghost blind). Built a brush blind earlier that day to park behind. He was feeding in the field at 99 yds and working closer, when a doe came up 5 yds straight behind the me, blew a few times, and all the deer in the field trotted off.

Well he must have done a big loop through the woods, cause 45 minutes later here he comes along the field edge just over my shoulder.... Got to within 8 yds, but out of my shooting window. There was a also a group of 5 doe and fawn right there, and when he got to them, they spooked and ran out into the field. At which point he turned back to where he came from. Was nothing I could do, can't turn my body, and he would have spotted me doing so at 8 yds on the ground anyway. But man a few more steps and I would have had an under 10 yd shot with the BD400! Gonna try again this weekend.

He'll be back Tyler. Maybe a little later in the season he'll be a little to... "randy" and with such things on his mind he'll walk out in the wrong spot and THWACK!!! Right in the boiler room.
Good luck out there

Pretty sure we'll get another legit chance at him this next weekend, as long as the soybeans are still appetizing then. They've usually made their changeover by this time, but we had a crazy drought all summer and then a ton of rain recently, so the beans aren't doing their normal thing. We didn't spook him one bit, and he seems real comfortable yet, at least that's what the Spypoints are showing ;)

But if we don 't get him this weekend...our chances are really high during the rut at this place.

That must have had the ol' ticker ticking!

Soy beans eh? Around here they only eat them if they have too.

First deer shot from it is in the books. Had a lift stand set up on the food plot, but the wind was wrong for it, so we made a makeshift setup in the brush to hunt right from the rig.

Shot was 30 yds with my Bulldog 400 and Sevr 2.0 broadhead.
