Video is up: https://youtu.be/1QkOANGEDDw

The short story is that my brother Trent was supposed to be the primary shooter, but the buck had us pegged in the blind and he didn't feel like he could draw back without him busting. This buck's main home was a full mile to the north of this spot, but you never know what can happen during the rut! We had nighttime pictures of him in this spot a week and a half prior.

I'm also super fortunate that the arrow stayed on a good flight path for the 30 yd shot! It looked like I had plenty of clearance in person, but the vane just clipped the strap material. Whew!

Buck field dressed at 201 lbs and green scored 144 inches.

Just saw the video wow you did have a bit of luck that vein interference caused quite a erratic arrow flight

Put my Excalibur steambow through its paces at the range today. Have a small 9 ci hpa tank to act as my regulator, connected to a fill station connected to the scuba tank. And remote line running up to the steambow.

The steambow was originally a Micro 355 version, but I swapped matrix limbs into it, and put a Matrix Sapphire stock on it for the shorter LOP.

Reason I put the matrix limbs in it was to slow it down enough to be allowed to shoot my local 3D course. It'll put em all in the bull 20-40 yds every time as long as I make sure the string is centered in the latch after pressurizing the cylinders. Silver sharpie for now to mark the string centering marks. Long term I will probably have someone put a layer of different colored serving on each side to help with centering.

Next step is to work on a good way to secure the scuba tank behind me on the Rig so I can use that to get around the 3D course.

But first I need to shoot a turkey from the Rig tomorrow morning 😁

Thanks Corey. Had one Tom at 30 yds yesterday morning, but it was at an angle I couldn't get turned to. We finally have some nice weather coming up here, so looking forward to a few more sits.
