Tried my first actual hunt from the rig this morning:

Ended up getting a shot at a Jake about an hour after I took that picture. Shot through the feathers and grazed the top of his back. Will try again tomorrow.

Just rested my elbows on my knees to stabilize the 327 Short. Will definitely appreciate a real rest once I get one made.

Did work pretty well to rest the stirrup on the rig's front bumper though.

Awesome and congrats to you guys! Really nice to see that it does what you need from it. I’m sure you have more ideas for her, hopefully you can get the torque where you want it for dragging your deer.

Sounds good! Go getten!
Can you attach some small, short pipes in front and around so you can mount a blind/ screen in front and around you?

Yeah I think we're going to plan on doing that. Will be a good mobile option.

Also going to see how the ghost blinds work to conceal me. My dad and brothers went in together for Christmas to get me the Predator model, and after setting it up yesterday, it is too tall to go in front of the rig. It'll do great to conceal the back half though! I'll get the Phantom model to go in the front, which will be short enough to shoot over the top.

Another option if you know exactly where you plan to hunt could be something like a drive in portable carport where you pick which direction is best to watch. JMHO.

I lost internet for a moment, wife must be chatting or shopping!🤣🤣
Anyway, something you could do easily and relatively cheap. I like to have my stuff at the ready, I think you plan for that as well! Make it YOURS Tyler. You have the ability to use your experience in making stuff for others that could be hindered in some way, especially VETERANS. If you could somehow help others, the hunting community would get behind that. Keep pushing the envelope Tyler!

Figured out that my bog tripod can actually fit the rear leg through the frame, right in front of the seat. Was not expecting it to work, so that was a pleasant surprise.

Shooting targets was great, but being only able to pan and not able to translate left to right leaves a lot to be desired. But still usable for hunting in the near term. I LOVE the deathgrip head though. So I think whatever I end up with will be a more freely horizontally moving mount that incorporates the deathgrip head.

Went out this morning, set up a couple hundred yards from where we saw a stutter last night. We just plopped a big 6x6 blind over both of us..... MN tags filled by 5:45am 😁 I went a little overboard with using the BD400 too, just happened to be the one I brought along this weekend cause I wanted to get the XB30 Compact sighted in. I shot the Tom right at the decoy. Jake stayed close so my brother shot him less than a minute later.

Officially my first harvest from The Rig 😀
