Been real tough here. Our first Saturday was windy and cold, 3 rain days this week Friday was OK but l had important work stuff to do.
Finally stopped raining at 8 this morning so lm out here. Only heard one gobble ... this year is gonna be a work for the turkey year from what I'm seeing.
I'm loving my brothers ring blind but it's not lucky as the doghouse 's ...I'm starting to get a tad superstitious about the new see thru condo!!!!

Bout the same here. 1 gobble then silence. We saw lots of Jake's before the season and there is a group of four crossing the back forty daily. Not much gobbling though. That's ok, a bad day turkey hunting is better than a good day doing yard work.
Good luck Joe

The Kid took a buddy that never turkey hunted and he got a double bearded bird. Hang in there, and good luck.
