As most of you know, my family has a long history of serving this Great Nation. Both Overseas and here at home. I hope and pray that ALL that have lost "loved ones" in conflicts around this globe take solace in the fact that "Freedom IS NOT Free". And "Greater love hath no man, than he who lay down his life for a friend". Freedom cost!!! The old cliche is... "There are two rules in war. Rule #1 is young men die. Rule #2 is you cannot change rule #1.

Perhaps one day we will learn to solve our differences with a pen, rather than with a IED or a bullet. But until we do, God Bless Everyone who fights our battles. Both at home and abroad. Keep them safe and free from harm. Watch over their families as they watch over us!! Blessed are the "peacemakers", for they are the Children of God.

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming "Wow, What a Ride!
