HOW DO YOU POST PICTURES AGAIN

Post by amythntr »

....With the removal of the other topics section came the removal of the instructions to post images.....I reach out to the gurus saying, HELP!

.....maybe the mods can keep the instructions as a sticky?

If multiple are interested, I can put together directions on how to post pictures that are hosted on your Microsoft OneDrive or your Google Drive. Since many users may already have their photos and documents stored on those services. It would save you from having to create an account at yet another provider.

From either of those storage providers you can seamlessly link the photos directly into the forum.

Hit the insert image button above.
When you copy and paste the image from Postimage it is cutting off the first [ on the [/img] so it is showing /img]
So paste the Direct Link code in as you always did and then insert a [ in front of the /img and hit Preview to make sure it worked.

When you load an image at Postimage, click next to HOTLINK FOR FORUMS. It should auto copy. Then in your post box here, right click and hit PASTE. The link will show up. You only need from . The header and trailer are for pop-ups and ads. Just highlight and delete everything before and after the . When you hit the SUBMIT button it will load the image automatically into your post here.

Anthony...
I've been using postimage.org for a while. All of a sudden it stopped working for me on my computer... It won't let me do anything!! If another member of the forum post pictures with that format, I can't even view that picture on my computer. :wtf:
If you click on what simply says "image witha little picture icon" I get a "privacy error" warning about an unsecure connection" from Google. :eusa-naughty:

Needless to say, I haven't posted pics in a while now. I'm unable to use that program. It may be an issue with my settings on my computer, but for it not to allow me to see images posted by someone else, I think that's a "Hosting Issue" with Postimage itself.

I reached out to the "powers that be" here on the forum about posting pics directly from your computer. I was told "at this time the site is NOT set up to allow that feature".
Personally I would think that one of the world's leading producers of Crossbows would make thier forum site "user friendly". Perhaps one day it will happen. I don't know. :eusa-think: :eusa-snooty:

I'm NOT a computer guy that has all these technical skills. Heck, I can barely turn mine one!! :eusa-doh:
Perhaps I need to look at microsoft OneDrive or Google Drive. But I'm afraid both of those are "above my pay grade"!!!

Technically Challenged in East Texas!!
