GRZ2 IS A FUN BOW TO SHOOT!

Post by amythntr »

....finally had a chance on Sunday to sight in the GRZ2 at the range....

....I took the Crossbones scope off of my son's 380 (he's gone back to the compound)....and installed it on the GRZ.....it is a perfect marriage with that bow....

....after a few adjustments the bow is shooting well out to 50yd (but I think 40 will be my maximum shot)....

....My set up included arra's I rolled at 17"- Zombies with a 110g insert, Vanteck (I think that's what their called)2" vanes, and a Lumenok in the Caboose....if my math serves me correctly they should tip the scales at around 417 grains.

....after having shot the higher draw weight Excalibur's this 200lb baby is just a fun bow to shoot....

.....well, no not really Dan....some are more violent when they shoot (420TD), also harder to cock.....everything about the GRZ2 is just sweet.....only complaint is that it is in a "matrix" frame....I have grown very fond of the "micro" frame......With that said, if NY ever gets their act together and removes the 200lb DW restriction, I'll go back to my AXE340 or A360.

love shooting my Axiom, I can cock by hand all day long. After a few shots I have to use a crank with the others.

I bought an Apex for my daughter and it's one of my favorite bows to shoot. Easy to cock at 90lbs and very smooth at the shot. Check it out.

Thanks guys. Like many of my projects this one is a work in progress. After making the stock this spring I threw it back together so my daughter could decap a turkey with it. Needless to say that Ol' Tom kept his head...for now.

I have a friend's GRZ2 at my house right now, making sure he's all good to go for season. Agreed, it really is a fun one to shoot. He's got it completely bare, no REDS even, and it is very shock free at the shot.
