Steamboat crossbow

Post by Boo »

Anyone looking for a Steamboat crossbow, contact Danny Miller 740 483 2312. It seems to me that they are quite reasonably priced. He has one made out of a 400 Bulldog and a 330 ft/sec model that I think Steamboat made from scratch other than the limbs

I also just happened to order a Micro 355 version that just popped up on ebay. Will definitely report back on my first impressions once I get it.

He's not carrying them, he ended up with 3 and wants to get rid of some

I shared the info with a group of quadriplegic hunters I know. It's a niche product and we're just the niche market for it.

That 400 Bulldog would be a sweet rig with the Steambow setup. I can cock mine but it puts me in a position that my back doesnt like at about 2/3 draw.

Tyler I bet you'll love your new rig. Let us known how it compares to a regular Excal as far as string life, accuracy and weight wise.
Take care

My Micro 355 Steambow got here mid week. Haven't shot it yet. Pretty impressed with the build quality of all the add-ons. I think before I shoot it I'm going to take out the limbs and file the riser pockets to match the updated smaller diameter ferrules, and probably put matrix limbs in it since I think this will be more of a slow 3D setup for me. Mike from Excalibur sent me a bunch of the new ferrules since I have about a half dozen friends and family that I've helped get micro's, so I'll be updating all their risers after hunting season.

Still gotta figure out what I want to do for high pressure air source.
