I'm pleased to have helped. I've owned Excalibur crossbows for over 32 years, and when it comes to the "older wide limbed" Excaliburs, they used to call me the historian. Sadly I haven't kept up with the latest "new crop".

I've been using and buying and re-selling Excaliburs since 08. I started out with a Vortex and it snow balled from there. I bought my step dad a Vortex in 2010 for helping me remodel our spam and he's still using it. I got a good deal on a Phoenix and passed it to my nephew, my brother in law has a Exomax that I got cheap. Craigslist is the best place for me to get a good deal, I'm not even sure how many I bought and re-sold on there. At the moment we have 2 gen 1 micro 335's a camo and a nigthmare, we also have a vixen and now the gold rail exocet. I almost forgot the axe 340 mag I bought last year. I bought the 335's and the axe new and don't plan on getting rid of them actually I don't think I'll sell any Excaliburs I have right now. I shouldn't tell you guys but I wanted to try something different so I bought a Scorpyd Orion Extreme 175 about a month ago, it's fast and accurate but it's also pretty big after using micro's for as long as I have. And at around 5'7" I think the micro's are easier for me to cock. Well I'm going to bed 4:30 seams to get here earlier than it used 2.

My bronze rail Exocet is a carved tip, cast riser version. Think 165. I just sold the Bronze topped scope that was on it. It was Bronze on top part of scope only and blue/black on bottom part. Had a regular blue/black mount though.
That is the model I have but the scope is not from the same period, I would like to see one with the scope you describe.
The stock and camo are the same but I think that is a later model. My limb tips are carved into the limb not mag tips.

Also the catalog spec sheet states the Excoet speed at 280 fps with a 375 grain minimum weight arrow. Exomag in the day was rated at 300 fps with a minimum 375 grain weight , And the Vixen was 260 fps with a 350 grain minimum.

It goes back to the word Kit-chen. Excalibur was spammed by someone who was promoting kit-chen renos. So that word became a 4 letter word.
