Matrix 380

Post by Hillcountry »

Is $475 a good price for a matrix 380?
I emailed the seller about it but he hasn’t returned my email.
Comes with a dozen arras an extra string and a soft case,Tact zone and limb silencers.

Yes, that is a good deal.
Best bow Excalibur ever made IMHO.
Three of my Buddies got the same after I did.
They all paid more than that.

Cheers,

…..absolutely great price!….I agree with it being the best, post wide bodies, ever made matrix bow!!!!….it is just a deer harvest 🧲!

I sold mine when the Micro craze hit….a was a young fool….both my boys still have theirs (although they have gone back to compounds)…. And have taken deer 🦌 with them….my middle guy holds the Romano Family record for the largest deer taken with his….a nice 8 pointer!

Sorry you lost it Hillcountry, but it really does raise intersting follow-up question. What is the "cannot pass up" price for a particular Excalibur model?

I think it's driven by four factors:
1) which limb family (exo, matrix, micro)
2) what level of technology (cranks, extendable stock, takedown, suppression, etc)
3) what level of scope (none, non-illuminated, illuminated)
4) what "extra's" are included in package (arrows, case, stringer, strings, etc)
Okay, five:
5) how badly do you want another Excalibur?

Note no mention of speed. Nor "need a backup" (Excaliburs don't need a backup). Most everyone here has several crossbows, so the "extra's" are not a big deal. Most sellers will include factory scope (even the excellent Excalibur scopes) but, if not, then you have to consider your eventual "all in" cost with a new scope. So, really, it's a matter of different speed from what you already own, or a different limb/family series.

I snicker when I see Exo series going for over $600 on Craigslist, and an adjacent BD330 is listed for $650. I also have to resist pulling out the checkbook

This could almost be its own thread.
