I would go for the Matrix Bulldog 400 (blackout version for the looks). Faster will cost reliability. Also like to cock it, without using a cranking device.

BD330 checks all the boxes. But I don't have one.

But if they ever made a Axe/Mag340 in bulldog configuration I'd be all over that like me on a Smartie!

The Matrix 350 SE version with the skeletonized stock.

It's more reliable than the Micro versions, much quieter and in my experience even more accurate. Though the accuracy of my Micro's is excellent. I put a flemish string on it when I got it, and have never needed to change it. It is easy on servings and easier to cock than my Micros. It's also rocking full camo like the Matrix 380, so I could see why others would pick that one as well.

I love my Micro 340TD in my stand, but I can't say its better than the Matrix 350 SE.

Glass has been upgraded since that pic to Leupold Mark 4 illuminated. I don't even care if i kill anything i just love holding it. That being said it killed 3 deer and a bear last fall plus a bunch before that. As you said - proven.

At the moment I would cast my vote for my 350 SE also.
My first x bow was An Equinox the 350 fps flagship bow had it about ten years and it was fantastic, but being short it was a at the limit of what I could rope cock and that was with the rope shortened .
I sold that and bought my 350 SE and that was a very good move on my part not as wide , shorter rail length, no speed loss , full camo rail, and less pull length to rope cock.
My 350 SE has been a rock solid performer and I have no plans to ever sell it .
I just picked up a Mag340 and do like the more compact size but it has not stood the test of time for me yet , I do not think I will have any issues but it will take time for the bow to prove its self to me, nice shooter, handles great, it may put my 350 SE on the side lines but it will not replace it.
I wish the Mag 340 was full camo but I get the price point thing. The Mag 340 is a good buy and can handle anything in North America but the Matrix 350 is a proven reliable platform with a lot of peace of mind built in.

I bought my first Excalibur in 1994. It was the 160 pound Exocet. You could cock & de-cock it by hand and had plenty of punch out to 30 yds which is as far as I shoot anyway. I even shot it with the peep sight for a long time. I killed 30 deer with that bow. I sold it to a young lad who was just getting started. Wish I still had it, it was so basic and simple, easy on strings & servings too.

I will have to go with the other guys that said the Matrix 350 LE. The Vortex is a great bow without a doubt but the M350 LE seems to be just as accurate and durable.

In my humble opinion the Matrix 355 and the Matrix 380 are the best bows and I am sad they don't make them anymore. Plenty of power and fairly compact and most importantly they are accurate, simple and reliable.

I would like to think all of them are the best made . :D
The sweetest bow to shoot and hold has to be the Wolverine . Hands down in my books .
The Vixen and Exocet as said by another were practically bullet proof .
The Point Blanc was a bow you could shoot all day and not feel the least bit tired .
The Micro fits the bill for blind hunting .
My Assassin for the quiet cocking in the stand .

Perhpas in the long run of things I'd have to pick the Bulldog 380. (Wish I had one  ). To me, it was just a great design. It married the best of both worlds. Too bad Excalibur dropped that model. :eusa-snooty:
After that, the bow I shoot most these days. A Micro Suppressor 355. Limb issues may suck, but I just carry extras. Love the compact design. And the speed.
Follw that up with the Axe/340 Mag.

Ok...I admit it. I just like the Micros!!

I agree their is no one model in a way. As long as the model is in a 380 Matrix. Lynx or Mad Max, never had a realtree model, but I'm sure vit would work as good as the ones I prefer. Prefer is just a choice, but the 380 is right in the middle of the sweet spot,

not to fast not to slow
not to wide not to narrow
not to long not to short
for cocking not the heaviest but not the lightest
I've owned about every Excalibur before it and after until about 3 years ago, I got tiered of buying new and selling them when I found already founf the best bow Excalibur ever made, just pick any model in the 380 Matrix and you wont go wrong!
