First deer with crossbow

Post by brianpa »

I finally scored with my Excalibur (axe) Mag 340 or whatever they call it now.
It's just a small Doe but it's my first deer with it. Was about a 15yrd. Shot hunting on the ground with my boy. He using a original Grizzly.
I have to go back and chop my arrow out of a tree.
Well I was going to attack a picture but the forum will not let me. Oh well :?

Congrats on your deer . :)
There is nothing wrong with a doe . Antlers are only for show . You can cook them many different ways and they still taste like bone .

Congratulations! I've said it before on this forum. Every deer is a trophy! You got out there, you picked a spot, you kept cool and made the shot and now you will be eating venison. It's the same wonderful experience for all of us. Way to go!
