Another buck today 12/21

Post by XB I GO »

Today my brother took his Matrix 380 with BEZS and 110 grain inserts, lumenock. He used the 150 gr Trailblazer that I sharpened. He shoot a little 9 point buck after only 30 minutes v in the blind. He stayed there and called. He said He heard it go down. My Dad and I followed blood and bumped it. We left and waited 3 hours. Came back and followed blood about 100 yards total. It crossed a street and a driveway and across someone’s front lawn. My Dad knew the man and he helped us look. It was on his property. The entrance and exit were very big and you can tell the blades were sharp because they made a perfect Tri cut. I already helped my brother finish the processing and re- sharpened the blades again. My Dad said No more deer!

Nice!! This is my big fear when hunting neighborhoods like that. If I had one run across the driveway and lawn it might end up rather poorly...

Congratulations to him.
I told my solution for getting a deer out of an urban area.
You get a giant rolling trash can like from waste management or whatever is available and you put a yellow safety vest on and with the deer in the can and a small shovel in hand simply wheel the deer to your pickup.....works like a charm ...done it many many times.
As a bonus a can like that will accept a treestand/crossbow and all accessories as a method of simply sneaking in and out like a seal team member...
A big can will accept a decent buck and all accessories mentioned...just saying.
One time l had a big nine point run under someone's carport in the snow leaving a horrendous blood trail...thank goodness no one was home ...just blood and trashcan wheels and footprint tracks for evidence.

Congrats! Whew, you guys really are hunting in a tight space. I have two stands that aren't 50 yards from property lines, but I'm about 250 yards away from houses. Sometimes these small spaces can produce deer year after year.
