Mag Air

Post by Hatchet »

What are your thoughts on the new Mag Air?

I thinks it's a pretty cool lightweight model. Thinking of parting with my two SMF bows and getting one. Same specs speed wise only much smaller and lighter.
Take care

I am seriously thinking about this little bow for myself! Light weight and not crazy priced. What's not to like?

At 4.9 lb bare and 305 fps all black looks like a winner to me. Mount a 1.5 oz Reflex Dot sight on it at a total of 5 pounds and carry it all day.

I would probable use a shorter arrow than the factory 16.5" to keep broadhead below the stirrup. Broadhead overhang looks significant.

A 15.75 " arrow and a short compact Tooth of the Arrow fixed head should do the trick on the Mag Air.

X2 on all the above.
I think I will hold out for the 350 Mag air however.

Did you see all 3 bows? I personally don't have any great interest in the Twinstrikes but I really find the 380 and the Air bow very interesting. The 380 may be an alternative to my 400 Suppressor. It appeals to me because it isn't a take down bow and it's only 20 ft/sec slower. The Air bow is cool because of the weight and the price.

The "Air Bow" looks pretty slick. Excal just needs to add the black cheek piece/cheek rest to the stock to cap it off that very cool look!
Personally, I think guys who hunt mainly from a ground blind or pop-up blind will make cash registers ring because of this design.
With the stated speed of 305 fps, some arrow/broadhead experimentation might be in order!! :eusa-think:

But... the 380 is just as slick!! I don't know why Excalibur ever stopped making the 380 Bulldog!! :eusa-snooty: Heck of a design with all the power you ever needed.
But alas....I digress!!!!

The "Tact 2" is a neat looking gadget. But to me it's just that, a gadget. :eusa-snooty:

My thoughts...the Air Bow will be the big winner for 2022.
