Yes we have been down this road many times....because you guys won't listen!! :D :D :D I guess I just think differently and see no downside to a heavy arrow.

Years ago I shot a buck in OH. 25yards broadside. I hit a twig or he jumped at the shot or I made a bad shot. Whatever happened I hit him in the a$$. He took off and 200 yards away I saw him cross the 4 wheeler trail out of the corn into another corn field. I tracked him for another 400yards and finally found him. My pants were covered in blood from all the blood that got on the corn stalks. Yep, I hit that main leg artery and he died.

Using your "dead is dead" logic that spot is just as good as aiming at the lungs right? Gut shots are 100% fatal too. Bigger target and it will kill them. Should we all aim at the guts?

I'm not telling anyone what setup to shoot.....just suggesting that whatever BH you shoot or like or whatever, will benefit from being fitted to a heavy arrow as that will increase penetration. But since you asked ( ) ....a BH that won't get bent to heck from hitting a deer would be beneficial too.....

anyways.................................

I had a video from years ago i shot a Doe in the neck. Well when the few seconds passed she kicked around n stopped i lowered my gear n Booger down. I saw the arrow was on the ground few feet away n the B-head threaded shank was broken off in the insert. It was a swhacker gn. 100 gr. the pt. was stuck inside into the neck bone n the swhacker was bend. Main blades did not deploy as they were locked inside the bend. The pt. broke the vertibrae n must have hit the spinal cord. I have several of them left n will use them up. I just don't like a rear deploying Mech. trying to use them up. Going back to my front deploying Mech.'s n my fixed heads
