Sig Sauer Romeo 5
Anyone using one of these on anything? Saw this for a great price, with mostly good reviews, and a few scary ones. Thinking about putting this on a crossbow.

Re: Sig Sauer Romeo 5
Dan, I have no "first-hand knowledge" of the Sig. But if Sig makes it, It's got to be pretty good.
My concern is with the mounting. I like my optics to be closer to the bore. I want to snug that optic AS CLOSE to the same level as the projectile that's leaving the 'launching pad". That gives you more in the way of "elevation adjustments". That's just my humble opinion.
I use a SightMark on a CQB toy.
Here's what it looks like...
The large knob in the middle of the sight is not the "elevation fix". It allows you to choose the type of reticle and the brightness. And houses your battery.
This unit is adjustable for "windage and elevation". I like how it hugs the picatinny rail.
Everybody has his or her favorites. This unit has just taken a beating over the years and continues to function for me.
As the old adage goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"!!
Hopefully someone will give you a positive review on the Sig. Sig Sauer makes great stuff. Several of the guys on the unit carried Sig 226's.
I was a Beretta 92 guy, go figure!!!

Thanks Andy, I also like that low mounting profile. I prefer Beretta over Sig handguns too.

Low profile Optics are simply the best way to go. Local company up here makes there for popular shotgun models. I'm in Love!

I also have the same Venom on my Axe Dan. Truth be told, I keep wanting to go back to a scope because my vision is not good at dusk, but it's just so light and handy I'm going to try it out in Temagami in May.

Dan, we're some on our AR-15's and 9mm rifles at the sheriff's office with great results the officers really like the shake awake feature on them.

I went with a Sitemark which should be here Tuesday. Thanks Eric, and I may still try one of the Sig’s.

I just got one for my Mag Air. It is the nicest red dot sight I have put on a crossbow. A sharp 2 moa dot and a good sturdy build.

Thanks all, I went with a Sight Mark Mini Shot A-Spec. Seems pretty good for the price, but I'll know more soon.
