Re: Ten point swamp ghost
Thanks everyone it's the next day l got up for work and delivered him to the butcher my back is sore my groin area feels like I was riding a horse all day 2nd dose of Tylenol .He went 230 lbs and l weight 158 lbs soaking wet and full belly he had me paying for his death for sure.
I could only get him about 15 feet on one pull and got him about 150 yards little by little but l was dealing with dead falls n stickers and some nasty mud until l got him to the road where the crawler cart could function l was aware of the nastiness of the jungle and definitely wouldn't have pulled the trigger on something small.
I'm pretty tore up but still smiling

Nothing like dragging the heavy ones out and then realizing the tailgate is the biggest lift of the whole trip.

Re: Ten point swamp ghost
We live in a small home l would love to mount every buck l shoot but we simply don't have the room.
He is going to get a nice skull mount that will take up less room in my office/man cave .
A few years back l was blessed to take a 14 pointer after that anything lesser is harder to mount.
I'm only "permitted " to have 2 bucks in the living room and a turkey lol
I have never scored a buck l shot they are all trophys in my eyes l was never into that mainly because some hunters don't have access to a better property it's not fair that some kill better deer because the belong to a club or exclusive lease some are able to bait and some are not.

Thats were I'm at as well,,I live in a small house with limited wall space,,if I ever head mount another it will have to be better than my avatar buck,,otherwise I will make some horn soup and skull mount them,,and yes I agree they are all trophys with their own special memory attatched,,,I just score my own ,,buy some orange scoring tape from Dunhams Sporting goods,,when I am gone who knows where all these heads and antlers will end up,,LOL.longbow joe wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 6:12 pmWe live in a small home l would love to mount every buck l shoot but we simply don't have the room.
