Shanked a Six

Had this six pointer chase a doe by me yesterday evening... he then stopped at twenty yards facing me and wouldn't move while he was looking to see where she went. I thought he might take off again chasing her, so when he lowered his head to the ground, I put the Tact-Zone crosshair at the point where his neck meets his body and sent the Muzzy Shank on the way. I generally hate to take a head-on shot... but that one was very effective... he made it 40 yards with a heck of a blood trail! The Shank fully deployed on the entrance wound and exited on the deer's belly at about the back of the ribs or so... I was really hoping for the spine on that shot, but it worked out!

Congratulations on the nice buck you are having a great season !
I love the vintage camo patterns on the older long limb bows I think it is a nostalgic thing and telling of my age .

That's an Ibex that I had dipped in Mossy Oak Bottomland... I think the Ibex originally came from the factory in Realtree AP. I love some old school camo myself... 8) 8)

Nice job Little Brother!! I sure like the camo on that old Ibex!!

I'm sure y'all are getting tired of seeing my mug on here, but I think of y'all as my outdoor family... so you are stuck with me. There's always that one family member...

The good news is I only have one doe tag and one buck tag left in South Carolina... the bad news, I have a lifetime Sportsman's license in North Carolina and plenty of land to hunt... so stand by... you may be seeing more of me and dead critters!! :wtf: :wtf:
