HUSKEMAW CROSSFIELD 4X40 CROSSBOW SCOPE

Post by Carnivorous »

Just thought I would do a quick review of the HUSKEMAW CROSSFIELD 4X40 CROSSBOW SCOPE.

Glass is excellent. I compared it with the vortex Viper XBR glass and to my old eye it's as good or slightly better.

Turrets are crisp with an audible click.

Reticle is very clear with one center dot for aiming. This makes for quick and precise aiming.

I set my elevation turret dead center. 4 clicks up had me zeroed at 20 yards.
4 clicks up at 30 yards
5 clicks up at 40 yards
I still have 42 clicks up available. I could easily stretch it out to 100 yrds or more. :)

95% of my archery kills have been inside of 20 yards. But I do have some open field spots that would need a longer poke if need be... :)

Spring bear hunting can't get here fast enough... :)

Jeff, how low does the illumination get? As low as the XBR gets?
What is the warranty?

Hi Don

The huskemaw dials down dimmer than the XBR. I'm a big fan of green illumination as well.

Warranty is lifetime but would have to be shipped to the states.

My only regret is not buying 2 of these.... lol

I purchased the Huskemaw Crossfield scope as well. The Huskemaw glass rivals my Leupold VX6 glass at 4 times the cost.

Huskemaw is built under the same roof as NIGHTFORCE OPTICS , that alone will explain why this scope is excellent .

Huskemaw includes rings and caps I might add.
EXCALFFLICTION 1991 ->>----------> 2024
Matrix 355
Huskemaw and Leupold crossbow optics.
Boo Strings
SWAT BH's and TOTA heads.

You can deaden the clicking sound a bit by putting a dental band or small o-ring on the screw under the top cap if needed. Firms that knob up a bit too.
