My uncle landed on Omaha beach on D-day. Three weeks later he was shot in the stomach by a sniper from a church steeple in France. He was never the same after that. He passed away 10 years ago. I honor him every memorial day!

A few years ago, I visited one of the WW2 cemeteries in France. Row after row of white stones bearing a name and a star of David or a cross, perfectly maintained and manicured by the French people. I can't describe the impression it makes but if you've been there, you know what I mean.
