Actually wasn't like that at all as a kid. Got into racing motocross at 15 and learned I liked wrenching then. But then that snowballed into whole bunch of stuff including an engineering degree and adapting a crapload of stuff after breaking my neck. Most everything for adapting was my ideas, but others had to do it for me. Wasn't until I finally decided to do some optimizing of my old Excalibur Vortex that I found stuff I could truly take apart and put back together myself. That's how you know a product is easy to work on.... When a guy with paralyzed hands can do it. Everything but re-serving strings 😉
