Good distraction tho to have all the border guards chasing the little red light throught the desert while the truck drives on through.

I have a dear longtime friend who is a Border agent in Weslaco.
It comes over by the ton....
Take your pick. Top truck is Meth, bottom one is Coke.
Folks say, "It's only recreational"... Yeah, right!
But perhaps I digress....

Chris, it's crazy!
I usually go visit him once or twice a year. You wouldn't believe some of the pics I have on the way people move this stuff.
Mexico is a "No-No"!!
It's as bad or worse than China. In my opinion.
I'm fine if the Good Folks at Excalibur just wanna stay in Canada.
However, ...Is it wrong of me for wanting Excalibur to move to Texas??

Re: Excaliburs survey
AJ01 there is plus and minuses to moving to Texas for me .
The minus would be the oppressive heat and your ground dwellers .
The plus is some good people .

They know we won't do anything to the kids but send them back across the Border. It truly is a "catch and release" program.flightattendant100 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2023 8:37 pmAJ, I saw the first pic and thought you had a load of 2x6's.

Re: Excaliburs survey
If that's their goal to go to China it would be sad.
I have enough exo bows and matrix bows to last till I'm done hunting.
A big box of spare limbs ,triggers and a couple trigger tec units. I'm pretty much set if that's what's ahead.
The way Canada is going these days is banning the crossbow on the horizon because it poses a threat to democracy.I know it sounds sarcastic but look what's going on ...and how far is it away from banning a stupid folding knife.
This stuff is exhausting

Re: Excaliburs survey
Bowtech does the marketing for Excalibur . From everything I've seen, they appear to be disconnected from crossbows in general as well as us, the customer. I gave up identifying the mistakes in their website because there are so many which makes me think that they don't know and understand the Excalibur crossbow market or the crossbows themselves. But if you think about it, they are in a state where crossbows are not inclusive. https://myodfw.com/articles/legal-hunting-methods-and-weapon-restrictions But somehow you're allowed to hunt DEER, PRONGHORN, BLACK BEAR, COUGAR with a .22 https://myodfw.com/articles/legal-hunting-methods-and-weapon-restrictions But you can't hunt squirrels with a crossbow!! Go figure!Nitro wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2023 9:30 amI took that survey the other day. I had a question about their nocks so I just got off the phone with the sales dept. After my question was answered, I mentioned the survey, and quoted a few of the posts from this thread. This was the first that sales rep. had heard about any survey, or any ideas about moving to a different country for manufacture.
He did say they were part of a family of companies, so perhaps this survey came from the parent company, and the smaller fish at Excalibur haven't been informed. Hopefully, it's just a matter of brainstorming, and will ultimately be rejected as a plan.
Excalibur built their business on brand loyalty. There is a tremendous number of Excalibur bow owners who buy them because they are Excaliburs and because they are built in North America with North American parts and assembled in North America. I think it is a mistake to send a survey that could be misconstrued as feeling out customers for their thoughts of manufacturing overseas. While the survey did not mention the orient I think that for most people, that is the conclusion, right or wrong. A good marketing organization would have not let people let their imaginations run free. So I don't have a clue what they are up to but since they sent that survey out, I think it would be smart for them to quell the minds of their public. Either way, this survey has stirred up something.
