New TOTA Single Bevel just released

Post by Normous »

I plan to build some heavy 500 gr plus arrows for the new US made and manufactured Tooth of the Arrow single bevel heads releasing today in a compact Tonto shaped profile available in 100 and 125 grain so far.

My goal is to test fletchings to determine what I think is best steering this new TOTA . I don't think it will be much of a challenge

I do expect this head to fly quieter than larger 3 and 4 blade offerings.

Moose, huge hog, big bear and elk hunters should take note of this new bone buster featuring .060 blades that sharpen easily using a sharpening stone.

That's got to be one of the most durable heads on the market. I'd love to see one with a wider cut and a little more weight. Perhaps a 1.25" 150gr or a 1.5" to 2" 200gr.

Put them on a proper arrow and they'd be great medicine for big stuff.

I shot a grizzley 175 grain single bevel 1 1/8 cut a few years my experience with the 2 blade is a poor blood trail on deer even on a double lung and pretty much perfect hit.
I never lost an animal out of 6 kills but was not wowwed by its performance.
It definitely pennitrated well but with a crossbow that's really not an issue.
I would definitely use the 2 blade for something like an elk or moose where pennitration is the most important factor that thing looks pretty tough for sure.
