Beacon nock run time = plentiful

Post by DuckHunt »

I fired an arrow with a beacon nock on Monday morning and missed because I misjudged the distance. I saw the arrow bounce off of the rocky terrain and disappear down through the woods. I didn't find my arrow in what limited time I got to search for it. This evening while I was walking out from hunting, I circled through the area with my headlight and was able to recover the arrow because of the reflective wrap I have on it. When I picked it up, I noticed that the beacon nock was still lit. Granted, it was very very dim. It had a faint glow more than 4.5 days from when it was fired. I'm impressed.

Just a note for everyone using the Beacon nock.
Always align the side shut off switch with one of the fletchings.

The fletching lifts the hide to prevent accidental shut off.
