Tonight I saw 3 cats ..one black ..it crossed my path but I was in a tree so it don't count.

The other week l was repelling down an embankment ...this buck is wearing me out.
I passed up a really nice nine pointer the other night because l just know I'm not gonna be happy if l don't try more for him.

One of the biggest deer I have ever seen in my life was inside the fence at a coal fired generating plant here in Texas. It's like they know they are safe there with no one allowed to bother them.

I agree. Success would require some serious effort. My hunting area is just the opposite. Getting to my stand(s) is a sweat inducing climb, but most of the sled drag to the truck is a piece of cake provided you don't get run over by a runaway carcass. I've had my legs taken out from under me more than once, but I haven't ridden one to the bottom yet.

Very easy actually l tie a heavy duty 1 " thick elevator rope around the antlers up over the guard rail and tie to truck bumper brother just gasses the truck slowly dragging the deer up with me guiding.
Toughest thing is lifting him over guard rail itself.
Many of my deer have come from the "gully".
It's a sparsely traveled road so we can block it whenever.
