I'm still not seeing a lot of daytime buck movement in Northern Virginia where I hunt. Sure, there is the occasional small buck but the big boys still seem to be mostly nocturnal. I've seen a couple nice 2.5 year old right after sunset, but the older mature bucks are still nocturnal. I'm hoping that changes over the next week. This one is our target as far as what we've seen on camera. He has been a regular over the last few weeks, but I haven't seen a daytime photo of him yet. He's a mainframe 8pt, with a spare/split brow/back-facing dagger on his right side.
If last year is any indication, I've got less than a week to get a tag on him before his rack is busted up to the point he becomes anonymous.

He's got some nice headgear! Hope he slips up and sneaks out in the daylight!!
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming "Wow, What a Ride!

I'm seeing the same thing. There are 2 dinks and one that will be good in 2 yrs or so. I need colder temps but preferably snow.

How's this for daytime movement...I'm in the woods and they are walking around the parking lot islands eating the new sod
