What was your bullet and powder weight/ choice?
About ten years ago I started using the 250gr Hornady FTX .452 bullet in a Harvester Crushed-Rib sabot over ~100gr of Blackhorn 209. I converted the 100gr volume to weight so I'm running 72.5 grains of powder measured by weight to maximize the consistency. In three different model CVA muzzleloaders, this load will consistently hit a tennis ball at 100 yards. I later learned that this bullet was the one designed for the 450 Bushmaster. I now own two rifles that use the same bullet. In ten years, this bullet has hit every target and nothing has ever been shot twice.

Thanks for the recommendation on the socks. I'm thinking they're will be multiple sets under the Christmas tree this year.

Excellent choice on bullets and powder.!
We use similar with excellent results.

Her Traditions uses 240 gr Hornaday 240 XTP with 66 grains weighed Blackburn powder.

His Traditions uses 300 gr Hornaday XTP and 72 gr Blackhorn powder weighed.

Thanks for sharing!

The Darn Tough Heavyweight Hunter over the calf sock is hands down the best hunting sock that my wife and I have ever used .

We recently gave a pair to the outdoor loving landowner and wife. Got a text yesterday thanking us for the excellent foot loving gift.

Sock Addict.com runs a special on Darn Tough socks a few times a yr.

I was hoping to buy a few more Black Friday but the heavy Hunter sock is sold out.

Wishing you and family a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving .
