Griswald Lives - Merry Xmas to the Excal community

Post by Species8472 »

Went out with my daughters, son in law, granddaughter, wife and the hound and cut our tree. Sadly we had a thaw and lost virtually all our snow in the last 2 days - pics always look better with snow.

All up and decorated. 80% of the ornaments are homemade by either our kids when they were little or 33 years ago one of our wedding presents was a set of 40 homemade ornaments (including the angel on the top of tree) from a family friend who had very little money at the time but was very artistic/crafty. Probably my favorite and most used wedding present. Tree was 10"6" and 8 feet wide as cut. Trimmed up and in place she is 9'6" (we have 10 foot ceilings) tall by +/- 7 feet wide:

The "home-made" ornaments are great!!

Wow! Boone & Crockett Tree for sure!

We have tree ornaments that go back in excess of 50 years.
And even thought it is just the two of use, we are as excited a kids when we get to setting our tree up.
Won't be nearly a magnificent as yours, but it will fit our humble little abode quite nicely.

Merry Christmas!!

Cheers!

We had our 3 year old grandson over to help hang ornaments on our tree . The joy on his face was the best present we could ever receive.
