Got some snow here!

Post by Riflemanz »

It snowed today so I'll have some easy tracking tomorrow when I go hunting.
I had a doe sneak up on me while I was sitting in a blow down, I turned my head to the right
and she's looking at me at 20 yds. I can hunt until Jan-31st. Anyone else still hunting?

For me, tomorrow is the last day of the season.

Nice!

I'm hoping for snow, where I deer hunt the coyotes are out of control. Seen more coyotes than deer in November... lol
A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

Good Luck.
Deer season has come to a close in Texas.
Boo, hang on to your hat. I think y'all might be getting some of the "white stuff".

Our season is open until January,15. I can't get back up to the farm until next weekend. The weather forecast is for about 10 days of lows in the single digits and highs in the teens with strong winds. My freezer is pretty full from rifle season so I may not try a late season hunt. I have never even had a shot with my crossbow after the firearms season so I'm reluctant to risk freezing for low odds hunts.

I hope so too! I have a 7 day goose hunt season starting Feb 24th in our area and I need the cold temps to force the northern geese south!

It's funny to me to hear you guys talk about "cold temps to force the northern geese south".
To me anything north of Texarkana is "up north"!!

Boo, I wish you luck on the goose hunt!!
I don't know how many are looking for snow in a good way, but if that's what y'all want, I hope ya get it!!
