Can't speak for the Excal line, but my TenPoint Woodsman+ has worked flawlessly since I purchsed it in Sept. 2001. No cable or string problems whatsoever. It's taken a number of deer, two russian boar, a couple of porcupines, and shot the vital section out of a couple of targets over the last four seasons.
With the dfi (dry fire inhibitor) you'll never have to be concerned with "exploding" your bow, and the compactness of the compound makes it very easy to handle in tight spaces.
When I see pics. of people with Excals, the limb span looks enormous.
Maybe you Canucks are just a bunch of little fellas. :P

Whatever your choice, good luck to you Sixgun357. 8)

Hehe We are just big enough to know that training wheels are for kiddy bows    .

All joking aside, I have heard that Ten Points are about your best bet if you are not smart enough to shoot an Excal.

Canada is becoming worse than a prison with all it's laws and BS. I hope and pray they don't get ideas about crossbow registry.

Oh by the way sixgun357, just buy an Excal and you will be happy

Just a thought

Hey sixgun!
Unless you are sharing your bow with another shooter, why bother worrying about having an adjustable stock length?
The cheapest way to modify the stock on an Excalibur has already been mentioned!
If it is too short put a recoil pad on it! If the recoil pad is not enough, make a spacer to put under it which will give you the correct length!
The other option would be that if it is too long, they make a stock which is shorter and I believe is reffered to as a "Ladies Stock" simply because of the length!
With a minimum of tinkering you could have an awesome Excal, that would never let you down!
Just a thought!
BTW I believe in the Excal enough that I would even make a spacer for ya!
Enjoy the Harvest!

if you still haven't made up your mind ... check out the warranty on the barnett , will they still remember you after 10 or 15 years , I don't think so. Excal does , I know this for a fact. 8)

Way to go Sixgun 357
This will do everything you want plus!
A great choice!
I am not sure which recoil pad would be the best, perhaps Particle would know! Someone will anyway!
I have heard refference made as to the use of them but have never put one on myself, although I am sure it will be a piece of cake for ya!
Once again good choice! 8)
Enjoy the Harvest!

Carl, I found something we can agree on ;
"Can't speak for the Excal line, but my TenPoint Woodsman+ has worked flawlessly since I purchsed it in Sept. 2001. No cable or string problems whatsoever"
. But I do own a Excoet have have taken 14 deer with it this year. And a nice 8 yesterday. But the deer are getting to know that TWANG sound, I will have to switch off the the Stealth for the rest of the season.

Hey Dave,
I don't think you have to worry to much about the deer getting use to the "Twang'. With 14 deer under your belt I think they only hear the sound once and they never get a chance to tell any of their friends about it.
