Seeing Deer move again

Post by CaptainCharles »

Well it has been over week since our Firearms season has ended. During the first few days of the gun season, deer were still moving, but then by the 2nd week, they went nocturnal.

I saw 7 does out in the field today at around 4:30pm, which is this herds normal time prior to the gun season. Seems they are getting back to the normal routine..........Now maybe I can bag one before the muzzloader season screws it up.... :x

Pretty much the same around here. They finally settled enough for me to get my first deer with the Vixen and I very much enjoyed it. It was a yearling (button buck), from a set of twins. I've had my eye on these twins since they were born, and they've been eating my corn/sweet feed($) as well since they were old enough to. Mmmm Mmmm good eatn 8) I should have taken pictures and I still might take a picture of the carcass thats STILL in my shed  Its been too cold for it to start turning any way. The best of luck.
