Note the little spike buck. There was another doe just outside of the frame.

The big guy heard me slowly opening the window upstairs, looked up, stomped a few times, let out a snort and took off. The rest scattered with him.

Todd,

Look at the bulk of that guy

Compared to that 150 pound spike, he's huge. Gotta go at least 270.

There's NINE of them out there right now. Most are yearlings. No big guy though.

No, but that's an interesting idea. My computer is about 35' from the window that they can be seen from though.

Food for thought this weekend though...

Todd , we got a problem here lol , now that I see the setup the deers Horns are way too big for the Trap !!!

You may need to build a bigger Trap , the buck should have to put his horns inside the bungees to eat. You may have to go to a Wash tub for that Boy. Either that or sit out under that spurce untill he comes in to eat and jump out at him, He'll knock them off running past the post of the bird feeder!

Man never thought of this untill now , but his rack looks like it stays well above and outside of the trap. You need to get something that he has to get the rack into and inbetween the Bungees, that will knock from side to side while he eats. As he pulls back the bungees apply presure to the Rack , but will snap off the horns if they are not ready. Everytime he comes into eat , he has the presure on the rack at all times. The bungee's should angle forward towards the eating direction. This way he gets presure going into the bucket and aswell coming out. Maybe a couple of 2x4's screwed out towards the entance of the bucket with the bungees running down and back to the bucket. Something to keep in mined is the normal height of the bungees are around 24 inchs , you may have to go closer to 30 inches for this guy. Standing infront of the bucket you should have the bugees out about 6 inches from the sides of the bucket at the top. The bugees have give alot like branches and as long as the deer can move them with the rack he will keep coming in. If you would like I will take a couple of Phot's of a Shed trap I have to give ya a better idea...BT

The other day I was thinking that his rack is just too damn big for the shed trap. I'll rig something up with 2x4's in the next couple of days. I'm busy for a few days plus it's so cold out right now I certainly don't want to be spending too much time out there!
