I think my seasons are in reverse. When I go turkey hunting, I get run over by deer. When I go deer hunting, I have turkeys almost sitting in my lap.
I had 17 turkeys come within 14 yards of me, most were within 10 yards. What a rush having soooooo many eyes checking them out without spooking them. Here are a few of the pics.
By the way, none of these turkeys had a beard. From what I could see was that it looked like 3 hens with their broods.

I flushed a turkey off it's roost walking in this morning. When the sky lightened up I realized I was sitting in the middle of about 1/2 dozen roosting birds!
I was able to watch them all fly down....well they didn't really fly down, they flew up and out because they were well aware of me! All in all a pretty cool morning.
Oh yeah - I passed on a lone fawn too (button buck likely) at about 15 yards, no idea I was there.
